UtiliFlex's core software is the foundation for a range of customized systems ranging from simple payment gateways to meter data management (MDMS), event and outage management, demand management, and geographical information systems for the utility industry.
UtiliFlex contains an integrated Meter Abstraction Engine (MAE) which allows UtiliFlex to provide common utility and consumer interfaces while managing meters from multiple vendors.
UtiliFlex is a mature, robust system, managing large databases of customers and meter data, whose multi-lingual, multi-device interfaces allow customers, resellers and customer service representatives to manage payments, usage data and communications in a friendly well integrated environment.
- Multi-vendor metering system support
- Robust payment gateway capabilities
- Provides advanced meter database (MDMS) functionality
- CSR - Customer/Meter Management Interfaces

UtiliFlex is completely web/internet technology based. Web interfaces for customer service representatives are powerful, informative and flexible. Powerful customer search and selection options provide normal customer service functionality as well powerful smart meter control options like load limiting and demand shedding, in one system.
Consumer Interfaces
Utiliflex allows utilities to provide consumers direct access to interfaces that are clean, informative, multi-lingual, and work appropriately for all web browsers. It can be properly branded for your utility. Neither JavaScript or Flash are required, even CSS (Style Sheet) support is optional. The exact same code automatically adapts to smart phones, home gaming systems (like the Nintendo Wii) and meets 508 compliance guidelines. Additionally, UtiliFlex also allows utilities to provide communication with consumers via IVR and SMS (text messaging).
UtiliFlex also provides graphs of data, with integrated "drill down" functionality, for both customers and service representatives.
Reports and Export Functionality

Powerful reporting and exporting features are built-in, and allow reports data to be exported as a native XLS, (MS Excel Spreadsheet) or CSV (Comma Separated Values) or other formats.
Custom reports with interactive selection criteria can be quickly added or modified. Utiliflex reporting uses relatively "flat" table views. enabling customers to quickly define reports without excessive complex joins or lookups.
UtiliFlex has been successfully integrated with utility customer information and billing systems and outage management systems using common gateway technologies such as SOAP/XML, and EDI. UtiliFlex also supports proprietary gateway formats such as SAP iDOC and IBM's MQ Series. Custom import/export functions and connectors are easily created and integrated.
Payment Gateways

Payment Screens are clean and informative, again, multi-lingual, and multi-browser. UtiliFlex enables payments using:
- Standard utility CSR stations
- Scratch Cards
- 3rd party merchants
- Web payments (credit, direct debit)
The UtiliFlex payment gateway is interfaced with the existing utility CIS and utilizes existing utility bank relationships for credit/debit processing.
