UtiliFlex and its affiliates have been providing U.S., Central American, and Caribbean basin electric utilities prepayment solutions since 2001. UtiliFlex has also been providing services in Southern Africa since 2003.
Using UtiliFlex, utilities can offer a variety of vending alternatives from traditional payment at utility offices to scratch-cards sold at third-party merchants to sales over mobile devices. Periodic balance information is provided to the consumer via text messaging (SMS), web page/widget, automated phone (IVR), and email.
UtiliFlex can operate as a simple prepayment gateway integrated with the existing utility CIS or as a stand-alone customer management system.
