UtiliFlex Scratch Card is a prepaid card vending alternative that utilities can offer "cash-centric" consumers. It works in the similar manner to other prepaid cards commonly found at grocery, drug, and convienence stores. Consumers purchase a Scratch Card using cash at the retail location and then redeem the card via telephone using UtiliFlex IVR, web, or text message (SMS). After verifying the card, UtiliFlex credits the received money to the consumers account. If the consumer participates in the utilities prepayment program, UtiliFlex pushes the purchased kWh directly to the consumer's Smart Meter or sends an STS Credit Token to the customers cell phone..
